Alejandra Alvarez
Biography:
In December of 2005, she obtained a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Instituto Politecnico Nacional in Mexico City. Before pursuing her PhD in Polymer Science she worked for DuPont Mexico in the Engineering Polymers business during four years. She joined the Puskas group as a Ph.D. candidate in January of 2010. Her project focused on the surface modification of biomaterials, using functionalized polyisobutylenes (PIB).
She graduated in May 2014, and currently is employed by PPG in Pittsburgh.
