A month has passed since the undergrads joined the Biomerg group. It was time for a little celebration and team building! Thanks to Kristof and Eniko, we had some wonderful Hungarian Goulash soup (Gulyas) with freshly baked bread and strawberry sponge cake (Epres piskota) and walnut roll (Dios beigli).

Congratulations to Dr. Carin A. Helfer who is co-PI on the OSU Wooster Campus Recycling Center project that was awarded $99,987 from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Recycle Ohio Grant Program on 5/28/2021 (PI: Dr. Fred Michel, FABE, OSU; co-PI: Cathy Herms, HCS, OSU).

November 20 - 2020 Unfortunately, the COVID crisis is getting worse. However, my sister-in-law told me to emphasize the survival rate instead of the infection and death rate – this could be more positive:
0-19 years 99.997%
20-49 years 99.980%
50-69 years 99.500%
Over 70 94.600%
Perhaps this way we can reduce panic and anxiety?
